<p>A tampon applicator (10, 60) has an inner tube (12, 62) adapted to store a tampon (32) therein. An outer tube (11, 61) is slidably disposed over the inner tube and has a distal discharge end for insertion into the body of a user. A sleeve (13, 63) is disposed between said outer and inner tubes and provides a tab (27, 77) for engaging the inner tube to limit sliding movement of the inner tube and prevent its complete withdrawal from the outer tube. The sleeve may include a further tab (26, 76) for resisting movement of the tampon as the inner tube is partially withdrawn relative to the outer tube.</p> |
