PURPOSE:To obtain the titled antifouling agent, containing an aqueous resin emulsion as a vehicle and tetraalkylammonium chloride as an antifouling agent and capable of preventing adhesion of shellfishes or algae to the surfaces of bodies dipped in seawater. CONSTITUTION:The aimed antifouling agent containing (A) an aqueous resin emulsion (preferably a resin selected from acrylic resin, urethane resin and vinyl acetate based resin, having film-forming properties by evaporating water and converting formed films into water-insoluble films) used as a vehicle and (B) a tetraalkylammonium chloride (preferably having 1-20C alkyl group and 15-22 total number of carbon atoms in the alkyl groups) as an antifouling agent as a principal components.
