SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL CONTAINING NOVEL CYAN COUPLER

PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp cyan image having an excellent spectral absorption characteristic by incorporating a specific coupler into at least one red sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:This material contains the coupler expressed by formula I in at least one red sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. In formula I, R1 denotes a hydrogen bondable group; R2 denotes a substituent; (n) denotes 0-4 integer; X denotes a hydrogen atom or group which is eliminated by reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent; Y denotes a hydrogen atom or substituent. The sharp cyan image having the excellent spectral absorption characteristic is formed by incorporating such pyrazolobenzimidazole cyan coupler into the red sensitive layer.
