PURPOSE:To make a mass production possible through improving the accuracy of processing in a transmission belt which is comprised of a great number of metal blocks and hoops for connecting those to each other by processing and manufacturing a metal block into two divided pieces respectively, and then joining the two in a body. CONSTITUTION:A main piece 7 is manufactured in one with a base 2a, which has two inclined planes 2b, 2c important for a metal block to function and lower saddle parts 2d, a base 2a, which has a head 2e and both a projection 2h and a recessed part 2i for engagement, and a head central portion 6 which has a head 2e and both a projection 2h and a recessed part 2i for engagement. In addition, the other head 2f portion except the head central portion 6, that is, a subordinate piece 9 which has a head sides portion 8 and saddle parts 2g, is manufacturing separately. And further, by joining the main piece 7 and the subordinate piece 9, which have been manufactured dividedly and processed precisely, through a welding means, a bonding means and the like into an integrated metal block 2, the processing of the inclined planes 2b, 2c which are most important functionally, the spherical processing of the lower saddle parts 2d, and the chamber processing of the head 2e can be performed with a high accuracy.
