<p>A toothpaste reduces tartar formation and treats the gums. It is characterized in that it contains a combination of a) a quantity of di-and/or tetraalkalipyrophosphate between 1 and 5% by weight (expressed as pyrophosphate) with respect to the total composition and/or a quantity of ethan-1-hydroxy-1,1-diphosphonic acids or their water-soluble salts between 0.2 and 2.0% by weight (expressed as free phosphonic acid) with respect to the total composition and b) a quantity of a water-soluble salt of 3-pyridylmethanol between 0.05 and 0.5% by weight (expressed as 3-pyridylmethanol) with respect to the total composition.</p> |
