PURPOSE:To manufacture a green sheet of high packing density and uniform sheet thickness, when molding a ceramic green sheet, by forming slurry of the viscosity lower than the viscosity suitable for molding prior to defoaming and volatilizing a solvent after defoaming. CONSTITUTION:Low viscosity slurry of approximately 1,000cP or less is kneaded preliminarily in a mixer such as ball mill or the like, and while being agitated slowly, said slurry is left under a reduced pressure of approximately 100Torr or less for about 10min. After that, when the pressure of slurry is reduced and heated to volatile solvents such as methyl ethyl ketone or the like, the same is cooled down. The slurry after defoaming is molded in a sheet shape by the pipe doctor method. A green sheet thus prepared is of superior smoothness, does not contain foams and is uniform. |
