PURPOSE:To achieve optimal turning condition corresponding to vehicle speed, in 4-wheel-steering vehicle, by applying brake onto a turning side rear wheel corresponding to vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION:A front wheel steering mechanism A, a hydraulic brake unit B for braking right and left rear wheels and an electric controller C for controlling the brake unit B electrically are provided to a vehicle. When front wheels FW1, FW2 are steered to the right by a front wheel steering mechanism 1 through turning of a steering wheel SW under driving of vehicle, a brake oil pressure applying means 6 provides brake oil pressure corresponding to an oil pressure control level determined through an oil pressure control level determining means 5 to a brake unit 16b for braking front wheel in steering direction so as to apply brake force onto the right rear wheel RW2. Consequently, a spring in a suspension mechanism for supporting the right rear wheel bends to steer the right rear wheel to the right with small angle thus reducing the turning radius. |
