PURPOSE:To obtain the small-sized captioned device by reducing the total length of the device by installing a pinion shift engagement part at a part of the tooth groove of an output shaft side helical spline and fitting a stopper pin at a part of an overrunning clutch corresponding to the engagement part. CONSTITUTION:The turning moment of an armature output shaft 1 is transmitted to a planetary arm 4 through a sun gear 1a and a planetary gear 2. Further, the turning moment is transmitted to a thrust spline 5 screwed with the output shaft 4a of the planetary arm 4, and then transmitted to a spline fitted pinion 8 through a roller 6 and the output shaft 7 of an overrunning clutch. In this case, in the spline part 5a of the thrust spline 5, a tapered pin 9 is fitted at the position corresponding to the engagement groove formed on the output shaft 4a of the planetary arm 4. When a pinion 8 is shifted forward by a lever 10, the tapered pin 9 is engaged with the engagement groove, and regulates transfer.
