PURPOSE:To provide a larger display part and a paper support to retain printing paper stably by installing the paper support capable of retaining printing paper in an upright position at the rear of a printing part and also a display part for entered data. CONSTITUTION:A paper support 9 is installed which retains printing paper P in an upright position at the rear of a printing part consisting of a platen 5 and a thermal head 8, and a display part 14 for data entered through an input key 4, is installed at one side of the support 9. Under this constitution, no separate space for the display part 14 need be provided, so that the longitudinal side of the support 9 can be increased that much to provide a larger support for paper 9 and also a larger display part 14. Subsequently, both display part 14 and support 9 can be enlarged without increasing the size of a printer. Thus it is possible to enable clear visibility to be obtained in data display and printing state as well as retain printing paper P stably.
