PURPOSE:To enable detection of radiations with high sensitivity and high resolving power by constituting the titled detector of a radiation detector which detects the radiations by a Josephson junction device and a superconducting device which amplifiers and processes the signal detected by the radiation detector. CONSTITUTION:The Josephson device 5 is provided on a cryogenic part 6 which allows incidence of the radiations thereto. The pulse signal generated in the device 5 by the radiations is guided to an amplifier of a high sensitivity, low noises and high speed utilizing the superconducting device. This amplifier constitutes a superconducting quantum interferometer 9 constituted of the superconducting loop including two pieces of the Josephson junctions 8. The very small pulse signal is thereby amplified and is guided into an amplifier 10 in room temp. to increase the S/N and thereafter, the measurement is made by a multichannel analyzer 4. The radiations are detected with the high sensitivity and high resolving power in such a manner.
