The invention relates to a grilling plate having a planar underside and an upper side provided with grooves and webs, the grooves of the upper side leading into a peripheral fat-collecting groove. The heat transmission from the hotplate to the grilling plate, with secure support on the hotplate, is improved in that it is substantially round in cross-section and has a peripheral, protruding edge at least on the underside, and in that the edge forms, with the planar underside, a receptacle which is adapted to a hotplate projecting above a stoveplate.
