PURPOSE:To increase thermal sensitivity and improve the gradation property of an image by providing an ink layer consisting of oil, thermomelting substance and coloring agent in a fine porous composition of cellulose acetate butylate formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:A thermomelting ink layer containing oil, thermomelting substance and coloring agent as main components is provided in a fine porous composition of cellulose acetate butylate formed on a support with high heat resistance such as plastic film, capacitor paper to form a thermal transfer recording medium. Cellulose acetate butylate should preferably have 5% or more of acetyl content and 50% or less of butylyl content. Furthermore, oil having viscosity of 300cps at 25 deg.C should preferably be added at a rate of 20-60wt.% to the thermomelting ink layer. Metallic salts of lanolin fatty acid, or ester are is recommendable as such oil. |
