<p>The programme preparing method uses an automatic programming unit (11), an NC control unit (12), a CRT display (13) and a keyboard (14) and automatically prepares an NC program for pocket machining, given a contour shape (POL) with islands (IL1,IL2) a tool path (TLP) and a tool shape (TL). The contour shape (POL) is displayed on the CRT (13a) with soft keys (13b) and an operator inputs the starting and ending points of each linear or arcuate cuttings segment, using a graphic cursor (CSR) successively. The points are then connected to make a tool path (TLP) and displayed with a tool shape (TL) on the screen.</p> |
