In an apparatus for pneumatic false-twist spinning having a drafting unit, at least one false-twist nozzle and a take-up device, which are arranged in series in the run-through direction of a fibre sliver, provision is made for the drafting unit to be followed by a body of revolution which is assigned means for changing the running direction of the fibre sliver, of which the direction of action on the fibre sliver is directed essentially transversly relative to the direction of movement of the body of revolution.
