PURPOSE:To facilitate a simulation, and to facilitate fo make it into s device by constituting a code, corresponding to respective run length, of a front part and a rear part, and making the front part into a Huffman type and the rear part into the power of '2'. CONSTITUTION:A constituting method of the code is such that the front part is made to be the Huffman type, and the rear part is made to be a Weil type, and a white and a black are put in separated spaces. At the time of an encoding and a decoding, they can be executed by a table retrieval system, most generally used now, while the front part and the rear part not being distinguished, and also, the front part can be executed by the table retrieval system and the rear part can be executed by an arithmetic system. When a front part code is inputted, a code length counter 12 down- counts it according to a transmission timing, and the front part code is outputted in series from a selector 13 through a switching gate 3. When the output of the code is finished, a bolo is outputted from the code length counter 12, and a switching flip flop 2 is inverted, and continuously the rear part code is outputted through a similar procedure. Accordingly, the code length can be easily controlled, and since they can be arrayed comparatively in good order, they can be easily handled for the purpose to make into the device as well.
