PURPOSE:To detect the position of a drawing surface with respect to an emitting head over the entire length of a pattern route without damaging the drawing surface, by providing a revolving member revolvable in a peripheral direction on the outer peripheral part of the emitting head, and mounting a displacement sensor detecting the position of the drawing surface on said revolving member. CONSTITUTION:The emitting head 2 in a drawing apparatus for forming a pattern by a drawing method is supported by a support mechanism so as to be capable of rising and falling and an emitting port 3 emitting a conductive paste 11 is formed to the lower end part thereof. A revolving member 4 is arranged to the outer periphery of the lower end part of the emitting head 2 so as to be made revolvable at an arbitrary angular position by a drive means. The detection end part 5a of a displacement sensor 5 is mounted and fixed to the revolving member 4 by a mount bracket 7 and connected to a detector main body by an optical fiber 6. The displacement sensor 5 projects laser beam toward a drawing surface 10 and the position of the drawing surface is detected by the reflected beam thereof.
