摘要 PURPOSE:To attain compactness, a high speed transfer rate, a high speed access, a low consuming energy and high reliability by using a magneto-optical recording medium using no magnet for impressing an external magnetic field to the magneto-optical recording medium but having coercive force of >=1kOe in a room temperature and having a compensating temperature of >=40 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:The magnet for impressing the external magnetic field to the magneto-optical recording medium is not used, the magneto-optical recording medium has the coercive force of >=1kOe at the room temperature (20 deg.C) and has the compensation temperature of >=40 deg.C. On a magneto-optical disk, wobbled pits 1, 2 and a clock pit 3 are previously disposed and a servo circuit for applying a sample servo is constituted of the wobbled pit and the clock pit. Then, recording power is made larger than erasing power, at the time of rewriting, all the bits of an area to be rewritten are read and only the bit to be rewritten, thereafter is rewritten by the recording power and the erasing power. Thereby, the compactness, the low cost, the low consuming energy, the high reliability, the high speed access and the high speed transfer rate of the magneto-optical disk device can be realized.
