PURPOSE:To form an oxide compound superconductive wire by forming a mixture containing elements capable of synthesizing an oxide compound superconductor into pellets, heat-treating the pellets in the oxygen atmosphere, storing them in a metal tube, linearly machining the metal tube, and heat-treating it in the oxygen atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A mixture 1 of multiple kinds of powder containing the elements capable of synthesizing an oxide compound superconductor is pressurized and molded to form pellets 2, the pellets 2 are heat-treated in the oxygen atmosphere to be solidified, the solidified pellets 2 are stored in a metal tube 3, and the metal tube 3 itself is linearly 5 machined. The structure is kept sufficiently solid even though it is linearly machined, and the high critical temperature is maintained and the critical current density is improved because this solid state is kept. |
