PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and improve productivity by performing the positioning in one direction of attaching parts with a work transfer means and making an attaching means perform positioning in the direction intersecting at right angles and perform selection of necessary parts from a parts supply means. CONSTITUTION:Parts from parts supply means 34-36 are aligned and held in advance in a tray feeder 30. A moving body 7 of a work transfer means 3 is then moved in the direction X to engage with an engagement member 8a and moved on a guide 4 to be positioned in the center of the transfer means 3. Connecting the moving body 7 to a tray 31 by means of a clutch mechanism 33, the tray 31 is moved, a part to be attached is positioned on a movement path in the direction Y of an attaching means 14, and the attaching means 14 is moved to make an attaching head 16 hold the part. The parts attaching position of a work 1 on a jig 2 is then positioned via the moving body 7 on the movement path in the direction Y of the head 16, the attaching means 14 is moved to attach the part. Since parts are accommodated again in the tray feeder 30 from the parts supply means 34-36 when the tray feeder 30 is emptied, productivity can be improved.
