PURPOSE:To facilitate the curing of an organopolysiloxane without any sensitizer, by mixing a specified organopolysiloxane with a specified amount of a benzophenone group-containing polyperoxyester compound and irradiating the mixture with ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. organopolysiloxane (A) of formula I (wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group except a vinyl group, 0<=a<=1, 0<=b<=3 and 1<=a+b<=3) is mixed with 0.1-5pts.wt. benzophenone group-containing polyperoxyester compound (B) of formula II (wherein R1 and R1' are each a 4-8C tert. alkyl or a 9-12C tert. aralkyl, R2 and R2' are each H, a 4-8C tert. alkoxyl or a 9-12C tert. aralkyloxy), e.g., 3,3',4,4'-tetra(t-butylperoxycar bonyl)benzophenone. The resulting composition is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to cure component A.
