PURPOSE:To reduce load on an operator, by displaying operating manuals to be performed by the operator of an acceptance terminal on the display board of a multifunctional telephone set corresponding to a continuously changing state. CONSTITUTION:A central control unit 4 always monitors a guidance request from the operator of an acceptance board by scanning the one-touch keys 10 of the multifunctional telephone sets 1a and 1b, and the central control unit 4 identifying the guidance request by the above monitoring reads out the state number of the acceptance terminal from a table 17 preserved corresponding to the housing position of the terminal in a main storage device 5. Also, in the main storage device 5, a pointer table 18 representing the address of the table in which a message explaining a state at every state number is stored, and it is possible to obtain the message in which the state corresponding to the acceptance terminal is described in detail by indexing the state number of the pointer table 18, The central control unit 4 displays the message on the display boards 9 of the multifunctional telephone sets 1a and 1b that are the acceptance terminals of the above stated guidance request.
