PURPOSE:To make the range of a reception frequency wider by applying a band spread application voltage to a tuning circuit section so as to turn on a switching diode thereby short-circuiting a coil in the tuning circuit section. CONSTITUTION:Since a band spread application voltage BS is low at normal reception, a switching diode 34 is turned off and a band selection coil 32 is inserted to the tuning circuit. When a band spread application voltage BS reaches a high voltage, since the switching diode 34 is turned on, the selection coil 32 is short-circuited by the capacitor 33 in terms of AC. Thus, the reception frequency is made wider.
