PURPOSE:To adjust the flow of air in the low pressure portion of an outdoor side air circulation, control the generation of an eddy and carry out an air blast efficiently, by a method wherein a partition plate between the high pressure portion of the outdoor side air flow path and the low pressure portion thereof is provided with communicating passages for communication of the high pressure portion with the low pressure portion and, further, flow straightening means are provided on the low pressure portion side of the communicating passages. CONSTITUTION:In ordinary operations, a fan 11 blows air from a suction port 2 of an outdoor side blast circulation 4 toward a blowoff port 3 thereof. In this case, air pressure in the outdoor side blast circulation 4 is divided in two portions in positioning relationship between a partition plate 5 and the fan 11 and, consequently, a low pressure portion 6 and a high pressure portion 7 are formed. As a result, an eddy 14 which whirls counterwise to the rotary direction of the fan 11 is generated in each of the four corners of the low pressure portion 6. Therefore, communicating passages 12 are provided in the partition plate 5 so as to permit air in the high pressure portion 7 to flow therethrough into the low pressure portion 6. This flow of the air is smoothened by flow straightening means 13 so that the whirl of the eddy 14 is regulated in a direction along the rotary direction of the fan 11. Accordingly, by flowing the suitable amount of the air to these flow straightening means 13, the operation can be carried out efficiently in a comfortable condition of suppressing noises.
