PURPOSE:To thin a card reader by composing it by a die for punching which is provided with a part of a slide base of which surface is flat, an operation substance which can be rocked on the slide base and a punch which is fixed to this operation substance and can appear and disappear to the die. CONSTITUTION:The operation substance 42 can be rocked up and down in a rectangular direction for the length direction of a cover board 14 by shafts 45 and 46. At the center of the lower surface of the operation substance 42, a spring 47 in a coil state is fixed and this spring is interposed between the cover board 14 and the operation substance 42. Then, by this spring 47, the operation substance 42 is always held up. Besides, at the lower surface of the operation substance 42, the punch 49 is fixed to be protruded by turning it to downward. At the front of the operation substance 42, a pin 50 is protruded in the same direction as the length direction of it. Then an aperture 51 where the punch 49 can appear and disappear is passed through up and down at the opposite position of shaft supporting pieces 40 and 41. Thus the whole card reader can be formed extremely thin.
