PURPOSE:To obtain massproducible elements eliminating positioning work with simultaneous printing of a heater and an electrode, by arranging the heater and the electrode on a main surface of an insulation substrate close to each other and a gas-sensitive element covering the heater and electrode by bridging thereof. CONSTITUTION:Paste-like material is printed into a thick film in a square wave with platinum as main component and baked on the surface of a ceramic substrate 1 mainly composed of Al2O3 to provide a heater 5. Both ends of the heater 5 are formed in the perimeter of holes 3 and 4 provided on the surface 1. A paste of material mainly composed of platinum is printed into a thick film and baked on the surface of the substrate 1 in a pair with the heater 5 to form an electrode 6 with a part thereof located in the perimeter of a hole 2. Then, the heater 5 and the electrode 6 are bridged and a gas-sensitive body 7 is provided covering them in package by thick film printing and baking to form a gas sensitive element.
