PURPOSE:To prevent records from being superposed to each other by executing automatic control so that an image is formed in an area excluding a recorded area in transfer paper previously recording information on a part of its recording area. CONSTITUTION:The transfer paper P is sent by a paper feeding roll 22 and scanned by photosensors S1-Sn in a printing area detecting means 30 to detect light from a printed area and a non-printed area. The illuminase data are read in a microcomputer 34 through an A/D converter 33 and stored in a RAM 36. At the time of ending the detection scanning, the computer 34 refers the contents of the RAM 36 and decides the recorded area. Then, image projection light is scanned and a liquid crystal shutter 31 is exposed to expose a photosensitive drum 15 and to form a latent image on the drum 15. Then, the latent image in the printed area is erased by controlling an erasor 32. Thereby, recordes can be prevented from being superposed. |
