PURPOSE:To realize an automatic back-up system for operation of a computer system by providing a memory means which holds the information showing the correspondence between the state of a subject computer system as well as an operating procedure and the operating procedure to be carried out, and a means which decides an operation to be carried out a group of messages showing the state of said computer and the information on said memory means. CONSTITUTION:A message group 206 is stored directly into a fault information memory part (I) 102 via an input/output interface 101 in the form of a list of character strings. A fault segmenting rule memory part 103 stores a fault segmenting rule of an IF-THEN form and a recovering procedure selection rule. A rule driving control part 104 segments the information needed for segmentation of a fault part, the decision of a recovering procedure name and the recovery of the fault based on said rule groups and the group 206 stored in the part 102. Thus it is possible to back up an operating operator and to facilitate the early recovery of a system fault, and the maintenance of an operation maintenance manual. |
