<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the compact and economical titled structure by preparing a sump part having a 30-35 deg. deflection angle between streams of exhaust gas and coolant and a specific runway on the bottom of a connecting passage which connects the sump part and the sump mist eliminator. CONSTITUTION:A wet exhaust gas desulfurization facility has a cooling tower 2 installed with a sump part 3, an absorption column, and a sump mist eliminator 4 in the passage connecting the cooling tower and the adsorption column. In this sump part 3, the deflection angle theta1 between the exhaust gas and the coolant is within 30-35 deg.. Moreover, the runway B-C having an upward inclination toward the eliminator 4 is prepared on the bottom of the passage connecting the sump part 3 and the sump mist eliminator 4. This runway B-C preferably has an upward inclination greater than 7 deg. toward the water level. By means of this construction, accumulation of slurry in the sump mist eliminator can be prevented, and the sump part 3 can be miniaturized.</p> |
