PURPOSE:To obtain the titled apparatus for easy sounding of depth, by attaching a plumb at the lower end of a fishing line, winding the line round a reel, attaching line guides at the upper and lower parts of the real and providing the reel with a one-way clutch. CONSTITUTION:A body part of a reel 15, an outer side plate furnished with a loose piece-holding chamber and a cylindrical loose piece are coaxially placed in an egg-shaped outer case 13 having a floating material lined to the inner wall. A fishing line 31 is threaded through fishing line guides 20, 21, wound round the reel 15 one or two turns and is thrown into water to sink the plumb 37 to the bottom of water. The depth-sounding apparatus 10 for fishing is floated on the water surface. When the fishing line is pulled, the loose piece constituting a one-way clutch is engaged in the clutch face of the body part and the loose piece-holding chamber attached to the reel and is floated on the water surface in a state of stopping the rotation of the reel. The length between the plumb and the depth-sounding apparatus shows the depth of water.
