PURPOSE:To hide unnecessary parts inside a device, and to improve an appearance by providing a shading sheet having an opening part at a part faced to a reading mirror, and a means to move the sheet together with the reading mirror. CONSTITUTION:The shading sheet 8 the width of which is wider than that of an original placing glass 1 is provided with the opening part 9 above the reading mirror 2. The opening part 9 of the sheet 8 is adjusted beforehand so as to be positioned just above the reading mirror 2. Now, a first traveling body 3 and a second traveling body 6 are reciprocated by a driving motor 11 as synchronizing with each other at 2:1, and at the same time, the sheet 8 is moved at the same speed as the first traveling body 3 by rotating a gear 12. At this time, the opening part 9 on the sheet 8 is continuously positioned above the reading mirror 2. Namely, a part except the upper part of the reading mirror 2 can be covered by the sheet 8.
