PURPOSE:To facilitate insertion of upper and lower air inlets into an air passage and to produced feed hot water having a proper temperature by means of a small amount of fuel, by a method wherein a partition plate and an inner cylinder are situated in an evaporating cylinder, the interior of the evaporating cylinder is divided into an upper air chamber and a lower air passage, and the upper air inlet of the end part of the inner cylinder is situated in a manner to be protruded further than the lower air inlet. CONSTITUTION:Fuel is fed with a pressure with the aid of a fuel feed pump 18, and the fuel is collided and mixed with swirling air injected in an assist combustion cylinder 12 and a combustion chamber 4 through an air hole 5a of an evaporating cylinder 5 by means of a blower 22 and is ignited by means of an igniter 20. Air-fuel premixture is burnt in a state to form a combustion flame 21 in a place in an air hole 5a of the evaporating cylinder 5. Upper and lower air inlets 6a and 5d are inserted into upper and lower air outlets 9a and 10a, and air is prevented from leaking by means of seal materials 5f and 9b. Therefore, a normally proper amount of distribution air is provided, and when a fuel feed amount is decrease, excellent combustion is maintained, and hot water having a proper temperature can be fed by means of a small amount of fuel. Since the upper air inlet 6a is protruded further than the lower air inlet 5e, for insertion of the evaporating cylinder 5, the upper air inlet 6a serves as a guide, and the evaporating cylinder can be easily mounted.
