PURPOSE:To ideally emit ink having high viscosity present in much quantity in a downward direction by preventing the emission of the ink in excess of a necessary emitting quantity and suppressing the generation of dissolved air bubbles easy to generate in a lower head, by successively driving drive elements downwardly from the drive element corresponding to the upper orifice among a large number of orifices. CONSTITUTION:The supply of a current is successively started from the drive element provided corresponding to the uppermost orifice among a large number of orifices (3-1)-(3-8) arranged in one file and, after the much supply of a current for blind emission is performed to the drive elements corresponding to the lower orifices, the supply of a current is successively stopped from the drive element provided corresponding to the uppermost orifice. Therefore, the emission of ink in excess of a necessary amount is prevented and the generation of dissolved air bubbles easy to generate at the lower orifice part heretofore is suppressed and the ink having high viscosity accumulated much in a downward direction is ideally emitted and the clogging of the ink can be removed and prevented. |
