PURPOSE:To incorporate a data base mechanism free from any secondary effect without applying any big change to a processing system nor deteriorating the processing speed, by adding two control words to each data of a data base and then setting these control words into a trail mechanism which is originally provided to a logical language. CONSTITUTION:A valid control word (valid word) 11 and a deletion control word (erased word) 12 are provided to each data 1 of a data base. These two words 11 and 12 are controlled by means of a trail stack 2. In other words, both valid and erased words are added to each data of the data base, then set into the trail mechanism provided originally to a logical language. Thus it is possible to incorporate a data base mechanism free from any secondary effect without giving any big change to a processing system nor deteriorating the processing speed.
