PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of the welding by providing a movable carriage to move the top of a metal sheathing body and arranging a couple of rotational electrodes freely approachably and separably to open and close a welding current circuit via a distance sensor. CONSTITUTION:A supporting rod 37 is provided to the movable carriage 15 and a couple of rotational electrodes 40 and 41 in the right and left are arranged to movable supporting frames 42 and 43 held thereby. Further, the distance sensor 82 to detect the position of a slide pendulum 5 which is an object to be welded and a detecting device 81 having a detector 83 are set up. When the movable carriage 15 is driven and moved to position of the pendulum 5, the detecting device 81 detects the change of an operational interval (l) between the sensor 82 and the detector 83 and the welding current circuit is closed to perform the automatic welding. After the welding is finished, when the interval (l) is changed, the welding current circuit is opened to stop the welding. Since the object to be welded is automatically detected and welded, the working efficiency of the welding is improved.
