PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of detected temperature and a safety and provide a comfortable fan control device by a method wherein means for controlling an amount of air is provided for driving a fan driving device for an indoor unit and changing over a fan speed between a discontinuous operation for ultrafine air and a fine air continuous operation. CONSTITUTION:An air circulating operation is selected by a mode selection switch at an operating part B and an operation stop switch is turned on to start an operation. A blower 3 is operated and an indoor unit 11 is kept at an ultrafine air blowing discontinuous operating condition. A room temperature (t) is detected by a room temperature detecting means 4. Then, a predetermined temperature set in a predetermined temperature memory means 5 is compared with a detected temperature (t) by an indoor temperature comparing and discriminating means 6. In this case, if the room temperature (t) is lower than the predetermined temperature, the condition is kept as it is. In case a room temperature is higher than the predetermined temperature, the indoor unit 11 becomes a fine air operating condition. The room temperature (t) is detected again, compared with and discriminated by the predetermined temperature. In case the room temperature (t) is higher than the predetermined temperature, the condition is kept as it is, and in turn in case that the room temperature (t) is lower than the predetermined temperature, an ultrafine air discontinuous operation is performed again.
