PURPOSE:To improve the dispersion stability and long-period preservable property of a developer by incorporating a specific fine white resin powder as a color material into the developer. CONSTITUTION:The liquid developer for developing electrostatic latent images is prepd. by dispersing toner particles contg. a fixer and color material into an electrically insulating carrier liquid and using the fine powder of the non-film formable white resin (e.g.: acrylic/styrene resin) having small pores as the above- mentioned color material. A copolymer of methyl methacrylate and methacrylic acid-2-ethyl hexyl may be used for the fixer and an aliphat. hydrocarbon solvent having a prescribed b.p., specific volume resistivity and dielectric constant is usable for the carrier liquid. The developer which yields the toner image of the high contrast between the image part and non-image part and has the excellent dispersion stability and long-period preservable stability is thereby obtd. |
