The overload connector has rotatable driving ring (1) and driven disc (2) as well as a flat coil spring through which force is transferred from the driving to the driven disc. One end of the spring is supported by a bearing (9) on one of the parts and the spring can in couple when over loaded. The other end of the spring is supported on a part with a ridge (11) which can have a force exercised on it by a tooth (12) of the driving part. This puts a turning moment on the spring, which when exceeding a certain value, causing incoupling. so that the tooth and fridge are apart. A lever (8) is hinged to the driven part and comprises the ridge and supports the spring at the other. An actuating arm (13) flips the spring into different positions.
