PURPOSE:To promote improvement of superconducting characteristics such as critical temperature and critical current density, by specifying Cu:M mol. ratio in IIIa group element-IIa group element-M (magnetic element)-Cu-O based superconductor. CONSTITUTION:A-B-M-Cu-O based ceramic superconductor containing M as a magnetic element in the range of 0.004-0.01 Cu:M mol. ratio (Cu is 1) and the remainder consisting of A, B and O, provided that A is IIIa group element, Sc, Y or La and B is IIa group element, Ca, Sr or Ba and M is V, Cr, Mn, Fe, CO, Ni, Dy, Er, Tm etc. The ceramic superconductor has higher critical temperature and critical current density and reduced lowering of current density also in high magnetic field, compared with a conventional ceramic superconductor. |
