摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately conduct idling control in an engine for an automobile, by regulating pressure in a pressure responsive device by combined control of two pressure control valves to adjust an amount of suction air. CONSTITUTION:An engine rotational speed signal from a sensor A and a target idling speed signal from a setting means F are changed into a deviation signal by a comparing means G. Then, a first valve E1 for controlling induction of atmospheric air and a second valve E2 for controlling induction of vacuum are operated by a control signal from a control signal generating means H to regulate pressure in a pressure chamber B' of a pressure responsive means B and adjust an amount of suction air by a flow control valve D. Either of the valve E1 or E2 receives the control signal according to the deviation, and the other receives the control signal which is stepwise changed according to magnitude of the amount of suction air to be regulated. Thusly, rate of change in the amount of suction air to change in the control signal may be reduced, and idling speed control may be accurately conducted.
