<p>PURPOSE:To perform the time period processing in a wide range without degrading the precision of the time period processing by providing a time period extension storage part in which a time period extension flag, a start flag, turning-on flag, etc., are stored, and a status address counter, etc. CONSTITUTION:A time period extension flag 101 indicating whether time period extension is required or not, a start flag 102, a turning-on flag 103, and a higher rank timer counting-up flag 104 of each timer specified by contents of a timer address counter 6 are stored in a time period extension storage part 10. A timer control part 4 gives a prescribed status address to a status address counter 12 to read out first the flag 101 from the storage part 10. Lower digits and upper digits of timer count data are successively decremented through flags 102, 103, and 104 and counters 6 and 12 to obtain a timer having two-address components of data. Since data of two timers is used as data of one timer to perform the counting processing, the time period extension processing is performed without degrading the precision of the timer.</p> |
