PURPOSE:To form an operating mechanism with which a blade is not pulled out by providing a shaft which is engaged with an operating shaft through one-way clutches and gears and actuating a stopper member when a link is rotated to a deflecting direction by this shaft. CONSTITUTION:Short-circuit current is sent from a main circuit disconnecting part 12a to be grounded through a conductor 2, contacts 7a, 7b, and a blade 14, when electromagnetic force in the direction of an arrow B is applied to the blade 14. This electromagnetic force moves a connecting rod 45 upward through the blade 14, a main shaft 13, a lever 15b so as to rotate a link 42 in the clockwise direction. This makes a shaft 32 rotate clockwise, so a gear 27 is rotated by a one-way clutch 31 in the same direction, while a gear 28 is also rotated in the counterclockwise direction. A shaft 34 is thus rotated counterclockwise by a one-way clutch 33. This causes a lever 47 of the shaft 34 to contact a stopper 49b so as to prevent rotation of the shaft 34, and removal of the blade 14 from the contacts 7a, 7b to open can thus be prevented.
