PURPOSE:To expand displacement without any convergence of stress on a specific part by clamping a long annular flexible ring body by a piezoelectric laminate body from its major-axis side and causing displacement on the outside ends on the minor axis. CONSTITUTION:When an alternating voltage is impressed to the piezoelectric laminate body X, the operation end of the piezoelectric laminate body X enters expanding/contacting motion according to its frequency. Consequently, the flexible ring body Y is clamped at the time of the expansion or contraction and the outside ends on the minor axis S extend out owing to the deflection. Here, a part to be driven is coupled with a displaced end E and then the part to be driven is given a displacement quantity DELTAy larger than the displacement quantity DELTAx of the operation end of the piezoelectric laminate body X. The elliptic flexible ring body satisfies a<2>+b<2>=c<2>, where (a) is the length from the center of the major axis L, (b) the length from the center of the minor axis S. Then when the displacement quantity of the piezoelectric laminate body is denoted as DELTAx and the displacement quantity of the displacement end is denoted as DELTAy, (a-DELTAx)<2>+(b+DELTAy)<2>=c<2> holds and DELTAy is larger than DELTAx.
