<p>PURPOSE:To prevent tape damage due to the coiling of the tape by providing a non-contact type coiling sensor to detect the coiling abnormality of a magnetic tape and a control means to stop the revolution of a revolving drum based on the abnormality detection. CONSTITUTION:Accompanied with the dewing of a revolving drum 3, when a tape 1 is coiled even to the space between a detecting sensor 13 arranged near the revolving drum 3, especially, to the revolving direction of the revolving drum 1, in the coiling part downstream side of the tape 1, and the revolving drum 3, the light to a photodetecting part is cut off and the output is transmitted to a control circuit 14. The control circuit 14 discriminates a tape abnormal coiling condition and immediately stops the revolution of a drum motor 4 until the photo-detecting part detects the light of an emitting part again, maintains, the driving of reel motors 5a and 5b, when the light of the emitting part is detected, the driving of the reel motors 5a and 5b is stopped and the tape 1 is unloaded.</p> |
