PURPOSE:To obtain a complicate representation reproducing device of high quality and considering the lapse of a time by mutually associating, representing, and reproducing multimedia data different in a representation form according to the instruction of control information. CONSTITUTION:In a recording medium 1, information files 11-1n respectively different in the representation form and a control file 2 are stored. In the information file 1i, plural data units 1iM (i) are stored. In the control file 2, the output instructions of the unit lnm in the file 1n are listed. A control means 3 reads the control information from the file 2 by an information reproducing means 5, when it is output instruction of the lnm, the data units from the nth file to the mth file are taken out to instruct to represent and reproduce the unit taken out by a corresponding representing and reproducing means 4n. Thereby,the representation ad and reproduction of one data unit is completed. Thereafter, the control information is reread by the means 5 from the file 2 and said processing is repeated until the control information is not present thereafter.
