OXIDE CERAMIC PRECURSOR COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide ceramic precursor composition capable of readily providing yarn or a filmy material of an oxide type superconductive material from a solution or suspension containing an alkaline earth metallic element, a rare earth element and copper as main components. CONSTITUTION:This oxide ceramic precursor composition is formed from a solution or suspension containing M1, M2 and Cu as main components. With the proviso than M1 is at least one of alkaline earth elements and M2 is at least one of rare earth element. The precursor maybe mixed with an organic polymer in order to provide the precursor with viscosity. The above-mentioned solution means an aqueous solution prepared by using a reaction between an inorganic salt and a metal and a solution of an organic solvent prepared by using an organometallic compound such as alkoxide and the suspension means a solution of aqueous type or organic acid type containing solid particles and/or sol particles.
