PURPOSE:To stably obtain a desired mixed color by using an ink film on which tri-color inks and varied tri-color inks are orderly coated in an ink transfer type color printing system. CONSTITUTION:On an ink film 2, inks of the tri-colors, yellow, Magenta, and cyanine and inks of the tri-colors whose saturations are varied to 1/2 each are coated on coating areas b1-b10 divided at equal intervals. In actual printing operation, the inks of the coating areas b1-b6 are properly combined according to a desired mixed color and printed in a lapped manner. In this case, pulse signal to be supplied to thermal head may have same width and the pulse control is not needed. Also, since this method is not the one to produce colors by collecting dots, the need to use thermal heads having high resolution is eliminated. |
