PURPOSE:To enhance deodorizing capacity and the resistance against repeated washing, by using animal and vegetable natural fibers which have been subjected to metal mordant treatment without applying post-dyeing treatment thereto. CONSTITUTION:For example, a vegetable fiber composed of cotton, coconut fiber, a rush or buckwheat and an animal fiber composed of cocoon fiber such as bred cocoon silk or wild cocoon silk, wool, feather or hair are used. As a metal mordant, for example, an aluminum salt, a chromium salt or calcium salt can be designated. In the undyed treated fiber only subjected to metal mordant treatment using these materials, a metal is strongly bonded to the fiber itself through an ionic bond or covalent bond or forms a complex and the detachment of the metal due to usual washing treatment is extremely reduced. Therefore, a malodor such as ammonia smell or mercaptan smell is effectively deodorized by the action of the bonded metal and the deodorizing action thereof is kept over a long period of time. |
