PURPOSE:To develop an optical sensor head of high sensing function by providing an optical sensor head where a one-dimensionally arranged line part and a two-dimensionally arranged area part in the other end are formed and arranging a photodetector array having the random access function so that this array faces the area part. CONSTITUTION:Plastic multiple optical fibers having an approximately rectangular section is provided where 50-10,000 insular parts each of which has an approximately circular section and has 5-200mu diameter and has a core-sheath structure provided with the optical transmission property are arranged in the sea part. One-side ends of plastic multiple optical fibers where the occupation proportion of the total area of core sections to that of sections of multiple optical fibers is >=50% are one-dimensionally arranged to form a line part 2, and the other ends are two-dimensionally arranged to form an area part 3, and an optical sensor 1 having the line part 2 and the area part 3 is obtained, and the array of photodetectors 4 provided with the random access function is arranged to face the area part 3 of the optical sensor head. Thus, data is taken in and out in accordance with the arrangement order of insular components in the line part. |
