Bowl skimming centrifuge has in a casing a vertical shaft, with revolving perforated bowl. Any unbalance can be compensated by uniformly distributed balancing chambers along the top rim and along to the bottom rim. These can be filled with a liq. to compensate for any unbalance. ADVANTAGE - This cures the problem of vibrations and of bearing trouble due to unbalance. This applies even to centrifuges driven by a motor on the side of the bowl.
