PURPOSE:To lower a pressure loss coefft. without deteriorating the strength of a spacer so that the driving power of a pump is reduced and flow stability is improved by forming annular elements to complete cylinders closed at the circumferential faces. CONSTITUTION:The spacer is formed by concentrically arranging the annular elements 1 and reinforcing the elements with an outer ring 2. The respective annular elements 1 are formed to the complete cylinders having no holes on the circumferential faces. The formation of the ends of the annular element 1 to an acute angled or streamlined shape is equally satisfactory. Notches and holes are not provided even in the case of providing projecting parts (dimples) to support fuel to the annular elements 1. The pressure loss coefft. of the spacer is thereby lowered without deteriorating the strength of the spacer and, therefore, the driving power of the pump is reduced and the flow stability is improved.
